This is what I did today. I had been reading about this Salad in a jar and thought that sounds good. It’s quick, won’t have to get out all the ingredients each time to make a salad. It’s fast and it’s good. check out my first attempt of plenty more, Fast Food in Jar.

what I did was lay out my ingredients, the things I wanted to put in a simple salad. This can get fun here.

I had Romaine lettuce hearts, cut up, Lettuce, Kale, Cucumbers, Cherry Tomatoes, onions, bacon bits, peacans, craisens, carrots and salad dressing.

Layer the *hearty* ingredients on the bottom. Always the carrots and cucumbers. The stable goods. Then you add you lettuce after you have spun it in a good Salad & Herb spinner. Let the lettuce dry, pat it dry with paper towels.

Make sure your Ball Jars are also clean and dry. Then you start layering in your salad.

Ready to grab and go. Always keep a handy healthy salad on the go.

I wanted to learn what was a *rollout.* A friend of mine on Facebook said she did a rollout and I questioned?… What is a rollout?… She explained to me it was a technique called foam rolling to alleviate the pain in your sore muscles. Now I had heard of this type of treatment from Massage Therapy school but I did not connect the therapeutic benefits of doing it for yourself. Foam rolling or rollout or myofascial release is good for people who exercise and for your own everyday muscle care. Here are my instructions for making your own foam roller. If you’d like a personal one, please inquire.

Materiels needed.
1. PVC pipe 30 or more of your choice. I used 4″ PVC precut from Home Depot
2. Duck Tape. comes in a variety of colors to personalize your own unique roller.
3. Scissors
4. Measuring tape
5. Yoga mat
6. Pencil marker
7. Flat surface to cut on

Preparation

Instructions
1. Lay out Yoga mat on flat surface.
2. Measure your outside diameter of your PVC pipe. *please add an extra 1/4″ just to be sure it wraps completetly around the pipe. If it’s too long you can cut that off, but if it’s too short, you will have waisted needed material. :(
3. After you have your cut piece of yoga mat, lay that on the flat surface also.
4. Cut a piece of Duck tape the length of your yoga mat that you just cut to go around the PVC pipe.
5. Place the tape on one clean edge of your yoga mat. See below.

6. Wrap the yoga mat around to meet each cut edge and tape down onto the duct tape. Press securely and evenly.
7. Measure and cut another piece of yoga mat to go around the first layer. If you prefer your roller to be a bit on the harder side, only use one layer. If you prefer a softer roll, use this second layer, of which I did.
8. After you have your second piece cut, please tape as you did in the previous step around the roller.
9. Next it’s time to seal up that outside edge.
10. Cut a piece of duct tape the length of your roller and cover your seam. (see below)

11. Next we seal the round raw edges. Stand the PVC pipe on one end.
12. Wrap your Duck Tape around the outside edge near the base of your roller. (see below)

13. Do this same procedure to the other edge.
14. Now your Roller is complete. To make it so you don’t know where the center line is, you can put another piece on the other side of the roller so that you don’t know which side has the seem. (see below) Two long pieces of Duck Tape are now lengthwise on your roller. (see below)

now you are ready to Roll out:) enjoy. Tell me how you like it.

I have finally found my real love for Barre exercise. Every day I enjoy choosing what i’m going to do for exercise.Nothing is a bad choice. I love holding the barre and giving in but I go right back in. I love the instructors and can’t wait to do more. I just received Leah Sarago’s total body.

I also have a great friend how is helping me out and we get to talk all things Barre. The exercise can be tough but you still just want to do more. I just love it all.

Let’s talk kale. I have found a new green, new to me that I like to eat. I’ve been enjoying Kale with, hold on now, eggs. Yes, Kale and eggs for breakfast. I eat Farm Fresh eggs from my friend Korin. She has chickens and her daughter shows her fancy chickens. These eggs are not your store bought eggs that have been sitting on a truck. My friends eggs come from hand fed, hand picked, grain. No GMO in these birds. Tender loving care given every day. So, I love to eat these eggs.

If you can get this Book on your kindle or ipad or Kindle reader, you will enjoy Kale more.
50 Shades of Kale it is wonderful. They have a recipe in there or Kale fried rice and it is definately going to be a keeper for me. I love my fried rice and now that I can make it healthier, that makes me happy. Then I also won’t feel deprived because I will be substituting. When you substitute, you don’t miss the lesson. :)

Good name to start the day eh mattie:? I am doing well. Enjoying my exercise and still juicing. I shouldn’t say still because, I just do it. I enjoy it. I love it and I won’t be without it. It’s my joy juice.

I’m enjoying my exercise and I can say it’s a routine now. I’ve come to Daily Journal and it’s terrific. I recommend it for an easy peasy log journal. I can talk to it, and write in it and have it on my phone. Take pictures of my meals and take pictures of my juice and my exercise DVD if I don’t have the cover or it’s on TV.

It cost $4.99 and it was so well spent. I have spent a lot more trying to figure out how to journal and get calendars and red books and black books but this works for me. It works because it goes right on my ipad mini and I can take it every where.

I don’t forget to log my food any more because it’s fun. I can remember it and then come and enter it and it’s all good.

I’m excited to say my exercise is great. Oh yes, it’s great. Since Ray bought me my Ballet Barre I’ve been committed for 4 days a week and most days, I get-r done.

I also have a blog on Blogger called The Journey but it’s really thetytsblogspot. mark me down for both places until I decide which to use. I come here, I go there. It’s all me.

I’ll be back to report more on my exercise and get you tempted to try Barre Workouts. They are great, easy, fun and different every day.

I feel I’m even getting better at food choices. Less again antacids needed. Enjoy drinking tea, oolong and green tea. making that picture of tea and having Ice Tea is a nice change from water.

Everyone is trying really hard to get the word out. The word is here. You can find fresh juice in any Whole Food store or online. People are offering detoxing juices at a ridiculous price of $20 a bottle. Juice does not cost that much to make. You can make juice for at least 4 servings with that amount.

check out Joe at the Reboot here.

He juices the sweet potatoe which I have done and it’s great.

Great New Year. It feels wonderful and I know I’ll complete my goal this year. I have more enthusiasm as I’ve found Barre Exercise. I love all about it. I think it’s because now I understand the tiny moves make a HUGE difference. I don’t have to lift 20 pound weights to get results nor do I have to jump rope for 30 minutes. There is motivating and you feel the burn. I enjoy it very very much.

Today I tried an new juice and this is a keeper. I love sweet potatoes. Well, I was hesitant to try this but I bought the Sweets any how and I tell you, don’t hesitate. Buy the Sweet potato and make this juice.

3 Apples
1 small Beet
thumb of Ginger
1/2 sweet potato

now you can use what ever size you choose and that will determine the sweetness. I chose to us a small sweet potato for my first time and it works very very well. I would also suggest you use a Centrifugal juicer as that sweet is very hard, being a root. But if you have a masticating. Be prepared, you shoulder might hurt trying to get that in there.

Juice and and Be WELL .
